StaffTravis Floeck ran for South Umpqua High School and was the 2000 3A State Champion and school record holder in the 800m. Travis was a two-time national qualifier in the 800m for the Southern Oregon University Raiders. He was also a member of the 2005 SOU men's Track and Field team that finished sixth at the NAIA National Championships. Travis was hired to guide the Lane Community College cross country and distance program for the 2008 & 2009 campaigns. This past track season, Travis coached eight distance All-American athletes. The 2008 Cross Country season was highlighted when both men and women swept the Southern Region Championships and Travis was voted Southern Region Coach of The Year. Three more of Travis' athletes garnered All-American honors this fall. He has had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best coaches in the country through his work at Steens Mountain Running Camp (for the last nine summers) and for Nike's running department (for two cross-country seasons driving the Nike XC Truck). He carries a USATF Level I certification.
